Amy Hunter

Amy Hunter is the Studio Manager. She has lived in Bountiful since 2005, and is a mother of 5 amazing children. Her love for clay began while attending Timpview High School. After high school Amy attended UVSC (now UVU) she took a pottery class, but at the time Amy’s focus was film Photography. Years later after Amy was married and had two kids, she had the hankering to get back to work with clay. She signed up for a 4 week pottery class that turned into doing pottery at another studio in SLC for 6 years. When she was pregnant with her 4th baby, she took a break from pottery to focus on her family.  That break was only supposed to be a few months, it turned into 11 years. When Muddie Buddies opened in Bountiful and her oldest daughter Helen started working at Muddie Buddies in 2019. Amy decided that It was time to get back to working with clay and she has been at Muddie Buddies ever since.

Tara Foster

Tara’s journey into the world of stained glass began with an internship at a local stained glass shop in Salt Lake City following her graduation in music performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2017. This hands-on internship allowed her to develop her skills not only in traditional stained glass but fused and leaded glass techniques. For the last 6 years, she has been invited annually to assist renowned artist Wesley Wong at the Glass Craft & Bead Expo in Las Vegas. During the expo, she helps teach fused glass techniques to students from across the country. Tara enjoys teaching Intro to stained glass course at Muddy Buddies and the Life Long Learning program at the University of Utah. Tara lives in Salt Lake City with her Husband and two dogs. In addition to her passion for stained glass, she finds joy in the great outdoors. Hiking and backpasking offer her a chance to recharge and connect with nature's beauty while checking off bucket list hikes such as Mt. Elbert, Ibapah Peak, King's Peak, Rim-to-Rim, and Half Dome. During the winter months, you will find her snowboarding at the local ski resorts.
